Despite challenges, Jazeera Airways remained Kuwait International Airport’s most active airline, operating 18,374 flights. The airline improved its On-Time Performance (OTP) from 74% to 86%, expanded its network by adding new routes to Krakow, Batumi, and Bhairahawa, and strengthened its fleet with the acquisition of six Airbus A320 CEOs. Jazeera also enhanced the passenger experience with new in-flight meals, upgraded seat selections, and flexible baggage options while introducing Travel Cash, a seamless foreign currency solution. Sustainability efforts placed the airline third globally in fuel efficiency rankings by Open Airlines SkyBreathe.
In Q4 2024, the airline recorded a 15% increase in revenue to KD 45.1 million, while quarterly losses were reduced by 41.1% to KD 4.2 million, signaling improved cost management. The load factor increased to 79.4%, supported by an 8.7% growth in passenger numbers to 1.25 million. Chairman Marwan Boodai attributed the success to strategic agility, operational efficiency, and digital transformation, stating that the airline remains focused on enhancing connectivity and customer service.
Looking ahead, Jazeera Airways plans to optimize its fleet, shifting to a 180-seat configuration by Q3 2025, and preparing for the arrival of 26 new aircraft from 2027. The airline is also upgrading Jazeera Terminal 5 to accommodate rising demand. Entering its 20th year of operations in 2025, Jazeera Airways is poised for further growth, backed by solid financials, fleet expansion, and innovative digital initiatives.
