New Zealand has dismissed suggestions it should follow in Britain’s footsteps to “live with” Covid-19, saying the level of death proposed by Boris Johnson would be “unacceptable”, reports The Guardian. Vistara has inaugurated non-stop flights between Delhi and Tokyo Haneda. The inaugural flight departed Delhi at 0300 hours (IST) and landed in Tokyo (Haneda) at 1450 hours (JST) yesterday. The International Air Transport Association (IATA) said that India’s domestic traffic fell 71.0% in May compared to May 2019 amid the emergence of the new and more contagious “Delta” variant. This compared to a 42% decline registered in April versus the same month two years ago. Jyotiraditya Scindia has been appointed as the Union Civil Aviation Minister, replacing Hardeep Singh Puri.
