Over 2,000 domestic and foreign tourists were stranded in North Sikkim due to a landslide following a flashflood since Thursday, officials said. The road from North Sikkim district headquarters Mangan to Chungthang has been blocked at Pegong Supply Khola, disrupting vehicular traffic, the officials said. Domestic air traffic witnessed a significant 36 per cent year-on-year increase in May, with domestic airlines carrying 1.32 crore passengers. Meanwhile, with suspension of Go First’s operations, its 6.4 per cent market share has shifted to IndiGo.The latter’s market share has soared to 61.4 per cent in May from 57.5 per cent in April, per DGCA data.
