The Centre will soon declare a national tourism policy and is also planning a global tourism investment summit, said G Kishan Reddy, Union Minister for Culture and Tourism . The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union, and Cooperation (MAEUEC) of Spain has awarded BLS International the global contract for visa application outsourcing for the second time in a row. The contract covers Europe, the Americas, Latin America, the CIS, Africa, the Middle East, and APAC, amongst other regions. IndiGo has announced new direct flights between several Indian and Middle Eastern cities. The newly introduced routes include Bengaluru-Dubai, Kochi-Bahrain, Lucknow-Dammam commencing from June 01 and Ahmedabad-Jeddah, effective from August 11, 2023. In a significant development, AirAsia India flight i5-767 departed from Pune to New Delhi using a blend of indigenous sustainable aviation fuel supplied by Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (IOCL) in partnership with Praj Industries Ltd (Praj).
