Cox & Kings is expanding its footprint with the launch of 10 new franchise locations in key cities across the country. This move is part of a broader strategy to meet the rising demand for outbound, domestic, and inbound travel services.
Under the new ownership of Wilson & Hughes Ltd., Cox & Kings is focusing on innovation, digital transformation, and customer-centric travel solutions. The company plans to establish 300 franchises, preferred agents, and holiday clubs across India and globally over the next two years. The expansion aims to blend advanced AI-powered itinerary planning with personalized customer service, providing a seamless and efficient travel booking experience.
“As travel continues to evolve, we recognise the need for a perfect blend of technology and human connection,” said Karan Agarwal, Director of Cox & Kings. “While AI-powered itinerary planning helps us create seamless, personalized journeys, an on-ground presence enhances trust and engagement with travellers. Our expansion into new cities reflects our commitment to providing world-class services, ensuring our franchise partners stay ahead in a competitive market while offering exceptional experiences to modern travelelrs.”
Each new franchise will integrate cutting-edge AI booking and itinerary-building systems while employing trained travel experts for in-person consultation, reinforcing the company’s commitment to a high-quality customer experience.
The expansion comes as India’s travel industry experiences significant growth. Industry reports project that India’s outbound travel market will exceed 50 million travellers by 2030, with rising demand for destinations such as Europe, Australia, New Zealand, the USA, Canada, and Japan. Meanwhile, domestic travel is surging, particularly in cities like Bengaluru, Chennai, and Mumbai, driven by increased disposable income and a growing appetite for leisure travel. Inbound tourism is also expected to grow at a CAGR of 7.2%, fuelled by interest in cultural, spiritual, and adventure tourism.
Following its acquisition by Wilson & Hughes Ltd. in 2024, Cox & Kings has embarked on a fresh chapter, leveraging its legacy while embracing modern travel solutions. The acquisition included only the brand, with no assets or liabilities from previous ownership, ensuring a clean slate focused on innovation, quality service, and customer satisfaction.
With a growing demand for high-quality travel services, Cox & Kings is witnessing renewed interest from past partners and associates. Wilson & Hughes anticipates the addition of 10-20 more franchise locations across India and internationally in the near future as it continues to strengthen the brand’s presence in the evolving travel industry.
