The Korea Tourism Organization (KTO), in collaboration with the Travel Agents Association of India (TAAI), hosted the Korea Tourism Roadshow in Delhi last week, strengthening its engagement with key travel trade partners and industry leaders.
The event comes at a time when Indian tourism to South Korea has witnessed remarkable growth, with 176,668 Indian visitors recorded in 2024—a 44% increase from 2023.
The roadshow provided a platform to introduce KTO’s latest trade-focused initiatives, including the Korea Premium Travel Consultant (KPTC) program, K-Incentive Scheme 3.0, and MICE support programs, designed to enhance outbound travel, and facilitate seamless access to South Korea for Indian travellers.
Expressing his enthusiasm for the growing interest in South Korea, Myong Kil Yun, Regional Director – India & SAARC Countries, KTO, said, “India continues to be a key market for South Korea, and we are thrilled to witness such impressive growth in arrivals. As we move forward, our target for 2025 is to welcome 18.5 million global visitors, including 250,000 from India. Through initiatives like KPTC and the K-Incentive Scheme 3.0, we aim to empower our partners with enhanced resources, exclusive benefits, and greater opportunities to promote South Korea as a top travel destination.”
Rajan Sehgal, Chairman – Public Relations Council & Member Managing Committee, TAAI, said, “Korea Tourism Organization, in association with TAAI, organized a unique roadshow to equip the travel trade with valuable insights and incentives to promote South Korea. TAAI assured its full support and cooperation to KTO, enabling its members to enhance their knowledge and expertise. The event witnessed an excellent turnout, with active participation from TAAI members and the travel media.”
