The Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA) is set to be inaugurated in June 2025, Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani announced on Sunday. The inauguration was initially planned on April 17.
After visiting the airport, Adani posted on social media platform X, “A glimpse into India’s aviation future! Visited the Navi Mumbai International Airport site today — a world-class airport taking shape. Set for inauguration this June, it will redefine connectivity & growth. A true gift to India!”
The greenfield airport, developed by Navi Mumbai International Airport Ltd (NMIAL), is a 74:26 joint venture between Adani Airport Holdings Ltd (AAHL) and City and Industrial Development Corporation of Maharashtra (CIDCO). At an estimated cost of Rs 16,700 crore, the project aims to ease congestion at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) and meet the growing air traffic demand in the country.
