Navi Mumbai is set to welcome a grand theme park modeled after Disneyland, spanning 200 hectares as part of the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR) Growth Hub plan. Proposed under NITI Aayog’s recommendations, this ambitious project is aimed at boosting economic development and tourism in the region. The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) has drafted the final plan, marking a significant milestone for the city’s entertainment sector.
The upcoming “Wonder Park” is expected to feature around 35 thrilling rides, including high-speed roller coasters, water slides, and live entertainment shows. Designed to provide a world-class experience, the park will cater to both adventure seekers and families looking for a fun-filled getaway. An artificial lake and a dedicated children’s play area are also part of the plan, making it a well-rounded attraction for visitors of all ages.
With a focus on boosting tourism and economic growth, the theme park is poised to become a major landmark in Navi Mumbai. It is expected to draw visitors from across India and beyond, offering an immersive entertainment experience similar to global theme parks. The project aligns with the government’s broader vision of enhancing infrastructure and leisure facilities in the region.
As preparations for the park move forward, anticipation continues to build among locals and tourists. Once completed, the Disneyland-inspired attraction is likely to redefine entertainment in Maharashtra, further positioning Navi Mumbai as a prime destination for leisure and recreation.
