Resorts World Cruises has announced that its third cruise ship, Star Scorpio, will be renamed Star Voyager as it prepares for deployment on 26 March 2025. The ship will sail across Southeast Asia until 21 July 2025, with Singapore, Jakarta, Melaka, Bangkok, and Ho Chi Minh City serving as homeports. Passengers will have the flexibility to embark from these cities on select dates, including local school holidays. The ship’s itineraries will cover popular destinations such as Medan, Pulau Redang, and Ko Samui, allowing travelers to explore the region with ease.
The Star Voyager will offer multiple cruise options departing from Singapore, including 6-day/5-night cruises to Melaka-Jakarta and Bangkok-Ko Samui, along with shorter trips such as the 4-day/3-night Melaka-Medan and 5-day/4-night Ko Samui-Pulau Redang sailings. From Jakarta, passengers can enjoy roundtrip cruises to Singapore and Melaka, especially during the Hari Raya festive season and Indonesian school holidays. Similarly, departures from Bangkok (Laem Chabang Port) will feature 6-day/5-night Ko Samui-Singapore cruises, catering to Thailand’s holiday travellers.
Adding to its extensive route network, the Star Voyager will also operate from Melaka and Ho Chi Minh City, providing unique cruising opportunities. In Melaka, passengers can embark on the 4-day/3-night Medan-Singapore cruises, aligning with the Malaysian school holidays. Meanwhile, the ship will make history as the first international cruise line to homeport in Ho Chi Minh City, offering 6-day/5-night Singapore-Melaka cruises during the Vietnamese school holiday period. This move reinforces Resorts World Cruises’ commitment to expanding cruise tourism in the region.
With multiple embarkation points, flexible itineraries, and a focus on convenience, Star Voyager is set to redefine luxury cruising in Southeast Asia. Whether travelers seek short getaways or immersive multi-city cruises, the ship’s offerings cater to diverse preferences. By enhancing accessibility and travel options, Resorts World Cruises aims to attract more passengers from across the region, further strengthening its presence in the Asian cruise industry.
