Tripura is set to welcome its first heritage five-star hotel, announced by Chief Minister Manik Saha. The project aims to transform a colonial-era building into a world-class retreat, blending the state’s cultural heritage with modern hospitality. This initiative aligns with the government’s vision of positioning Tripura as a premier travel destination in Northeast India.
The luxury hotel will feature lavish suites, fine-dining restaurants, a wellness spa, and event spaces for conferences and cultural gatherings. Designed to preserve the architectural legacy of the site, the property will offer guests an immersive experience while ensuring accessibility to the region’s historical and natural attractions.
Tripura already boasts iconic landmarks such as the Ujjayanta Palace, Neermahal, Unakoti’s rock-cut sculptures, and the serene Jampui Hills. The new hotel will further enhance the state’s tourism appeal, inviting travellers to explore its rich heritage and scenic landscapes.
Beyond tourism, the venture is expected to generate employment and boost local infrastructure development. As connectivity improves, Tripura’s cultural charm and modern hospitality will draw domestic and international visitors, redefining the region’s luxury travel experience.
