Turkish Airlines is set to launch direct flights from Istanbul to Phnom Penh, Cambodia, on December 10, 2025. This new addition marks Cambodia as the airline’s seventh destination in Southeast Asia and Phnom Penh as the eleventh city served in the region. The move is expected to enhance connectivity between Türkiye and Cambodia, further strengthening trade and tourism relations between the two nations.
With the new Phnom Penh route, Turkish Airlines continues to expand its presence in the Far East, now covering 20 cities and 21 airports. The airline remains the only European carrier operating flights to Phnom Penh, reinforcing its position as a leading global airline. The service will provide greater accessibility for travelers, opening doors for business, tourism, and cultural exchange.
The Istanbul-Phnom Penh route will operate via Bangkok, with flights scheduled three times a week. Departures from Istanbul will take place on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, while return flights from Phnom Penh to Istanbul will be available on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. This frequency aims to accommodate both business and leisure travelers seeking seamless connections between Europe and Southeast Asia.
Turkish Airlines Chairman of the Board and Executive Committee, Prof. Ahmet Bolat, expressed enthusiasm for the expansion, stating that the new flights align with the airline’s commitment to strengthening ties in Asia. He emphasised that the Phnom Penh route will create new opportunities for both tourism and commerce, further solidifying Turkish Airlines’ leadership in the region.
Passengers can book tickets for the new flights until July 31, 2025, for travel through June 30, 2026. Promotional fares start at USD 659 from Istanbul to Phnom Penh and USD 649 from Phnom Penh to Istanbul.
